Hiya Brother,
Well I thought I better write again while I can still hold a pen. Haha. You know this married life is o.k. but I guess you know all about that. Haha. I’m sure going to hate to leaved. It’s really going to be rough. I feel like breaking a leg or something right now so I can stay awhile longer.
Well, I been married 7 days today & still gaining weight, how about that? I guess its that good old home cooking. Man I sure can clean up on those noodles & guneflas (I guess I spelled it right haha) I’ll bet a buck I can eat you under the table. A bet?
I’m staying over your house until I have to go back. I guess you know that. Yeah I’m paying my board! Haha. You really got a swell bed. We went to Indianapolis on our honeymoon. Got there Sat. nite & came home Tues. nite. Boy, what a time. I liked to tore her up getting things started but now, whew, I have a helleva time trying to hold my own. She’s really wearing me down. Haha. You’d be surprised at the punch she packs for such a little girl. Wow!
Boy, I sure wish you were here. What a time we’d have. Oh man, I really missed you brother no kidding. Maybe by next Christmas it will all be cleared & we can spend all our time together. As civilians once more. That’d be o.k. huh?
You sure have got one swell wife, boy, I mean it. All she talks about is you. She really loves you bud & don’t ever forget it. She’s tops. And she’s really helping Dot and me out. Letting us stay there & eat there & things. She’s o.k. And Sally still takes me in to see your picture every day & says Daddy. She sure is cute. And I keep kidding Sonny about joining the Army because his Uncle is in it. He says the hell with the Army, I’m going to be a sailor because my Dad is. They really like you boy. You got a swell family. Well who don’t like you? Even I do. Haha.
Well, I guess by the time you get home I’ll be in the Philippines. And I hope by the time I get there it’s all cleared up over there. I don’t want to have to go thru any more of that stuff I can get out of it. It’s rough. I mean it. I want to be a rear echelon man for the duration. Way in the back. Haha.
Well, I guess that’s about all for now. But I’ll write again before I go back. I hope I get a letter from you while I’m here.
Well, so long, Bud & watch yourself & take it easy & may God look out for you always.
Your Brother,
Roy
